Stage it moves: a warm → 1 for the colleague. Buyer page in the note: workflow fit.
A researcher who got real value is the best introduction we will ever have. We ask them, once, to forward a short note to one colleague. There is no incentive: no discount, credit, gift, fee or ranking. Offering one would turn a recommendation into a paid placement and conflicts with the no-paid- acquisition rule (page 00).
Only after all of these:
Never ask during an open proposal or a needs_review question. Never ask an
industrial production contact.
Glad the reconstructions were useful. One small ask, only if it feels right:
is there one colleague, in your group or elsewhere, who runs holograms and
might want the same thing? If so, the note below is written to be forwarded
as is. No incentive either way, and no hard feelings if not.
Subject: A hosted hologram reconstruction that gives you a citable result ID
I've been using ApertureAPI to reconstruct holograms from our <geometry>
setup. Each frame + settings comes back with a result ID and an evidence
record anyone can recompute, plus a methods paragraph you can adapt.
Before sending anything you can check whether your setup fits (no account,
takes two minutes): https://api.apertureapi.com/docs/workflow-fit
It's research tooling, not a validated measurement instrument; they're clear
about what it does not claim. If you want to try it, reply-all or write to
system@apertureapi.com and mention my name.
<their name>
The researcher edits it freely; never ask them to add claims.
referral:<name>.
They go through the fit check like everyone else
(page 24).Artifact: the ask in your sent mail; the colleague row tagged referral.
